Audience feed back

We are very close to finishing our Film Trailer however before completing it entirely we wanted to receive some audience feed back so that we could improve out piece of work. Therefore we asked the year 12 Media Studies class to watch our trailer and answer the following questions;

Does the trailer make sense?

Do you know what genre the film is?

Any shots that stand out to you in the trailer?

Does it look and seem like a trailer?

How effective is the sound?

Any other points you would like to make?

Research and Planning - Magazine Front cover

When creating ideas for our Film Poster, we realised that we preferred one of the designs to be more suitable for our Magazine Front Cover. When doing our audience feedback this design was not as popular as the other three designs, everyone found it plain and boring, therefore we felt the magazine front cove also consists of cover lines, a Mastehead and potentially other photos therefore meaning we needed a basic design which would still represent Jack perfectly as his character.

We the decided to practise our design on photo shop, as well as trying out different poses that we may potentially prefer to our original idea. After trying differnt idea, our favourate still was our original choice. We felt it was fun and clearly shows the film is about dance. It is also extreamly cheesey just like our film idea.

Research and Planning - Poster Practice

When designing our Film Poster ideas we felt that the most important thing is knowing that they would be possible to design on Photo shop. Therefore we have created all of our poster ideas by using each other as models, practising all the designs we had chosen. Not only did this show us which ones were possible to create, it also helped us pick our favourite one out of the four.
